CAS-ual Fridays Stamps March Release Day 1: Hang In There Card

Hello everyone!! Happy Monday!!

Today is the first day of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps March Release!!! Today the Ink Squad is showcasing "Some Bunny" stamps and the "Bunnies Fri-Dies."

I created an encouragement card using the new "Some Bunny" stamp set.

I started out by stamping the bunny on a white panel with Copic friendly black ink. I then masked the bunny and blended blue ink around the rabbit for the sky.

I then used Copic markers to color in the stamped image. I used the dot technique with the W family of Copic markers to shade in the bunny.

After coloring, I die cut the panel and layered it over an A5 card front that was covered in patterned paper scraps.

I then covered the balloon and the inside of the bunny's ears, tail and stomach with clear sparkle marker.

My last detail was to add a sentiment strip.

The March release is available in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps store right now in the NEW section. Use my code NORASENTME to get 15% your entire order!!!

Tune in tomorrow for the showcase of the new "Cowbell" set!!

Sunday with CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #261 and As You See It Challenge #170

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you are all having a great day.

I am a little grouchy today. Did a lot of errands and laundry this weekend, but not much fun stuff. I am in a funk. I think a couple days of sunshine would help as it has been gray, gray, gray!!

Today I am sharing two cards I created. The first one is for CAS(E) this Sketch #261, though it is a retro sketch. I created this card using Stamping Bella's "I Have a Secret" stamp and the "Stacked Heart" die from Simon Says Stamp.

I kept this really simple, using white card stock and a scrap of patterned paper from my stash.

Here is the sketch that inspired this card:

I loosely colored in the image using Copic Markers. I LOVE this image and want to make a bunch up to send to some close friends.

I left off the sentiment because I didn't want to use the one that came with the stamp set. The little dots from the sketch were replaced with the hearts die.

I filled in some of the hearts and used clear Sparkle marker over them.

For my second card, I used the sketch from As You See It Challenge #170. Again, I kept it very simple.

The image is from Inky Antics "Wine Time #1" stamp set and the sentiment is from their "Wine Time #2" set.

Here is the sketch that inspired me:

Again, I colored this image in with Copic markers and used a stencil with some Broken China Distress ink for the polka dots.

Instead of the hearts, I chose to add a word bubble with the sentiment.

If only this lady was sipping a beer and I would use it for my friend's birthday instead of having to make her a card now!!

That is all from me tonight. I hope you have a fabulous Monday!!

On the CAS-ual Fridays Blog With Michele Ferguson

Happy Hump Day!! I cannot believe it is the LAST DAY OF FEBRUARY!!! Where has the month gone???

Today I am on the CAS-ual Friday's Blog using the same stamp sets as my friend, Michele Ferguson. I LOVE doing these type of challenges and asked her to join me. So PLEASE-hop on over to her BLOG and leave her some LOVE!!!

For my first card, I used the "Coffee Cup Fri-die" and elongated it to make a larger coffee cup. This was all Michele's brilliant idea!!! I then ran it through my die cut machine with an embossing folder and used some alcohol inks on top of it to make a cool pattern. It kind of reminds me of a pottery mug.

I layered it over a background that I created using Distress Stains. The "coffee stains" were made with Distress Ink and some containers on my desk!!!

I heat embossed a sentiment from the "Hot Coffee" stamp set in gold and used a pink heart that I die cut using my favorite "Fun-Fetti Fri-die" set. (I don't think I ever do a card without this set!!)

For my next card, I die cut the "Coffee Cup Fri-die" out of a background paper that I had created a couple weeks ago with a stencil and some glitter paste. I thought the way the glitter was situated that it would look good on the mug.

I then layered this over another background that I created using a combination of Distress Stain and Distress Ink.

I used a die cut heart that was sitting on my desk to embellish the middle of the mug. I covered with a glitter pen and then Glossy Accents.

The sentiment was stamped with a stamp from the "Hot Coffee" stamp set with some brown dye ink.

To finish off this card, I created a middle using the "Shenanigans" stamp set. I thought the sentiment on the front reminded me of a belated birthday so I made the inside of the card a birthday card.

More Cards!!

It is FINALLY Friday!!!

After work today I have FOUR DAYS off in a row!! Yippee!! I really need to catch up on some sleep and cleaning my craft room. I read this week how someone took everything out and then put things back, purging as she went along. That would take me too long but I really need to get stuff off my floor.

Anyhow....here are a few more cards I created last weekend for Valentine's Day.

My first card was made just for Charlotte. We have an inside joke about how I "love her more then toast" so I knew when I saw these Doodlebug Die-cuts that I was using them for her Valentine.

She LOVED it, like I knew she would too!!

I added some clear sparkle marker and Glossy Accents on the butter and the hearts.

The background was made with an old embossing folder.

My next card I used the Lawn Fawn "Stinkin' Cute" set. It was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest but I can't find it now!!

I had colored in the skunk during the 30 Day Coloring Challenge and it was perfect for a Valentine!!

I think my favorite part is the little red Stickles on his nose!!

The LAST card I am posting today is another one I whipped together using odd and ends from my desk. It was totally CASE'd from a card that Yana Smakula created.

I apologize for the photos. I had a hard time taking pictures of the gold!!

I added some Nuvo Crystal drops in white around the card when all was done.

I am entering this into AAA cards "All You Need is Love" Challenge #108.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a FABULOUS day!!

Happy Thursday and some MORE Valentine's Day!!

Hello everyone!! Happy Thursday. This week has been so looooonnnnng!! It felt like Friday on Tuesday!!

Today is my birthday and I am 49 years old. Blech. It is not the number that gets me but the wrinkles, the lack of eyesight AND the breaking down of my body that irritates me. Youth is wasted on the young!!

Anyway, I am posting some more of my Valentines that I made this year.

I used a mix of stuff that was on my desk for this card.

The flower is from Altnew's "Beautiful Day" and the sentiment is from I don't know-it was in the mix with leftovers I have!!

The next card I used scraps as well.

The pig is from LDRS designs and the sentiment is a retired Simon Says Stamp set.

I added a leftover heart from yesterday's post on his lap.

I used an MFT stamped pig on this card with a PaperTrey Ink sentiment.

The background paper is OLD Doodlebug Design that has been in my scraps FOREVER!!

Well, that is all for me today. Have a GREAT day!!
