Some Cards for Challenges

****Some links used in this post are Affiliate Links used a not extra cost to you.

 Hey Friends!!!

I am just popping in today with a BUNCH of cards I created this week. The first three cards I post are for some challenges that I am joining in on.

All three cards are created by using background stamps and some shading. I did a theme of butterflies for all cards.

My first card I created for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches #627.

I started off  creating the striped paper with an MFT background stamp. I layered it over a piece of paper that was embossed with the Spellbinders Leafy 3D Embossing Folder. I then adhered a piece of foliage that was cut using the Pinkfresh Curvy Foliage Die

I then colored in a Glimmer Butterfly from Birch Press Designs with Copic Markers to adhere over the top of the foliage.

The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Sympathy.

Below is the challenge badge for Freshly Made Sketches #627.

My next card I created I using Tuesday Morning Sketches #748 as the jump off point.

The background of this card was stamped using the Striped Background by MFT Stamps. I stamped it both ways to make the grid. I layered a die cut Fancy Frame by Sunny Studios.

The foliage behind the Simon Says Stamp Layered Cosmic Butterfly was die cut from the Flowing Foliage Die Set

The butterfly is colored in using Copic Markers and the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

The last card I created I used the Paper Craft Crew Challenge #561 as my inspiration. This was a sketch challenge and the challenge badge is below.

Again, I used a stamped paper I created using the Hero Arts Acanthus background stamp and Twilight Pawsitively Saturated Ink from Simon Says Stamp for my background paper.

I used an arch instead of the rectangle where I placed the butterfly. The arch was die cut with Spellbinders Arch Dies and embossed with the Spellbinders Mandala Blooms

Instead of a banner, I used the Curvy Leaves Die Cut from Pinkfresh Studio.

The script strip is a paper I created using Simon Says Pawsitively Saturated Ink. The colors I used were Morning, Twilight and Galaxy. The script was created using the Hero Arts Script Bold Prints.

Want to see more butterfly sympathy cards? I am involved in a blog hop over on Instagram. It is called Create it 3 Ways Challenge. You make three cards using a theme with any products you want. This is my second month and have chosen to use the same colors, paper I created and butterflies. If you want to see my cards, here is the LINK.

Well, that is all from me today. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!

A Fun Weekend and Some Cards

Hi everyone!!! I hope you are having a nice Sunday. The sun is out here and I started my day off with a walk with my neighbor. The temperature is a little chilly but the sun just makes it so worth it.

I am going to share a couple cards today. I apologize to you in advance that they are all sympathy cards. I know people hate making them but I find them so peaceful to create. That is weird isn't it?

I used The Stamp Market's Ready to Bloom Card Cover Die for the white flowers. I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Crushed Grape Gloss for the flower centers.

I stamped a sentiment from Your Next Stamp onto a die cut oval (retired MFT die) and heat embossed with Rangers Silver Tinsel Embossing Powder

I used a PTI embossing plate to emboss the paper under the flowers and combined sentiments from two different sets on the inside of the card.

I am going to enter this card into The Flower Challenge's #54: Shades of Purple and Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge: Beautiful Blossoms.

My second card I used the same basic supplies as my first card.

I changed up the sentiment and used My Favorite Things Deepest Sympathy Stamps and heat embossed with WOW! white embossing powder. I stamped this on a Pinkfresh Studio's Braided Oval that I die cut from purple cardstock.

I used yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow for the flower centers.

Again, I used the same sentiment stamps for the inside of my card but added a die cut rick rack to hide an ink spot. I was not going to throw it away!!

I am entering this card into The Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #310, All About Occasions and The Paper Players Challenge #531: Spring is in the Air.

My next card is a card I made for someone who lost her baby recently. I was not able to go to the wake as I was not feeling well but I wanted to make sure that she knew how much I cared.

I used Spun Sugar Distress Ink to blend behind the Hero Arts Angel Wings

I used foam adhesive to layer the heart over the wings and added some Prima flowers that I have had FOREVER over the heart. I created leaves using the small flower from CAS-ual Fridays 4 Petals Die

The heat embossed sentiment strip is from Taylored Expressions.

Some fun things to blog about after my sympathy cards is that I went to a "Zoom" birthday party last night. They hired a virtual mixologist and we made drinks.

Before the party we had a shopping list for things to buy. We are not heavy drinkers so we had a lot to purchase!!! It was a lot of fun and a different idea to make everyone interact virtually.

I also received some purchases this week. I had sold some stuff on Ebay last year and bought myself a 72 ink pad storage from Organize More

I had ordered it a while ago and of course it came when Chris was home alone. I hate when that happens!! I just need to reconfigure my desk so I can put my ink pads in it. I am so excited!!!

I also received an order from Simon Says Stamp. I am a little mad at myself for this one. I am supposed to be on a spending freeze but it IS NOT GOING WELL!!!

A couple things are missing from this photo too that I forgot to put in there.

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS night.

Using my Stash: Valentines

Hello everyone!! I cannot believe how long it has been since I have posted ANYTHING on this blog. Moving my craft room from one floor to the next has taken me forever, since I have had to sort through everything and clean out the upstairs room too. It still is not complete BUT I am getting there!!!

In my sorting, I found some things that I decided I wanted to use. I forgot I even had this little kit from Making Memories and so I put it on my desk to remind me to use it when I had time. Well, this weekend I did!

I didn't use everything but I did pull out a lot and made three cards. I added a few things to it here and there but I love what I created!!!

This first card is my favorite. I used some pattern paper from my stash and added the frame, which was in the kit, that I had fussy cut it out. I then used foam adhesive to pop the "adore" bingo card up over it.

The little ticket and red twine were also from the kit. I added the xoxo that was sitting in my stash. I think it should have been the opposite, though, right? Oh well, it is adhered too well to pull it off!

I finished the card off with a Valentine sentiment stamped using Taylored Expressions Mini Strips: Valentine.

I am going to enter this card into this month's Color Hues Challenge: Red and Pink. I am also going to enter this into Just Add Ink's Challenge: Pick 2-banner, border bow. I have the bow and am counting the strip as my border!

For my second card I used items from the kit AND a stenciled heart background that I created last year and never used.

The little pattern square and ticket were from that kit. I added a doily and the felt heart, two other things I discovered as I was going through my stuff. Everything old is new again!!

That sentiment strips are from my stash as well. I just paired them together.

I don't do a lot of heavy layering on my cards because it is a pain to send but I love how this came out too!!!

My last card is a sympathy card.

The heart, the button, the twine and ticket were all from the kit. I added a Prima flower from a HUGE jar that I own, as well as some hearts that were die cut using a retired CAS-ual Fridays die.

The sentiment strips are from my stash. I think they are Taylored Expressions

The next two cards are kind of random for this post. I created them last month when I was doing this fun, stenciled/stamped/blended winter backgrounds.

The elves are Mama Elephant Little Agenda Elves that were colored and die cut

Other images are a combination of My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn. To see how I created the background, go to this post. I don't have the energy to write it all down again!!!

The beauty of this card was that I had all the little images stamped and colored ahead of time. I just had to die cut the frame and make the background!!!

The last card is in this winter theme as well.

The snow man is from Mama Elephant's Little Snowman Agenda, the hills are from Simon Says Stamp and the trees/house are from Lawn Fawn.

The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird. Out of all the cards I created that day, this one is my favorite for some reason.

Did I bore you yet with all my cards? This has been kind of a long post but now I am done!!!

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!!

Multiple Monday

Happy Monday everyone!!

I had done a post like this two weeks ago and I want to make this a new "thing." I was originally going to post a video for the batch I made this week but looking at the footage I took, it wasn't so hot. The desk shook a lot and I just decided that it wasn't good enough for people to see. That doesn't mean the cards didn't come out, though!!

I have to admit that I had A LOT of fun making these cards. As a rule, I do not do multiples of cards. I find it boring. However, during this time of being isolated, it has actually been kind of fun.

Here is the first card that I created for this "series." I started off by stamping my butterfly, heat embossing it in gold and then using Zig Clean Markers to paint it in. I then fussy cut it out.

I actually painted all the butterflies first and then picked the colors of ink I would use to stamp my background from there. I used Pinkfresh Studios "Dainty Blossoms" dies for the white flower/leaf die under my butterfly and the tag is Reverse Confetti's "Grid Stitched Tag."

I then repeated this design using purple for the background and butterfly, as well as changing up the tag to Reverse Confetti's "See Through Tag." The sentiment was in my stash.

I used some DMC Floss in white at the top and some sequins from Cartwright.

I created the card in pink...

in Jelly Bean green...

and in mint green. I thought all these came out really pretty.

I had a couple butterflies left over so I decided to use some pattern paper scraps for the last two cards I created. I actually think I might like these cards the best!!! The white tags pop off the paper better than the stamped backgrounds.

I wish I had only done the leaf die cut behind the butterfly on all of the cards.

I think it looks classier. I also stamped right on the tag, unlike the first five cards.

Here is another purple card. I like the colors with this background.

I am entering these cards into Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #391-Anything Goes and Watercooler Wednesday Card Challenge #273-Marsha's Challenge-All About Occasions.

Well, that is all from me today. I thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!
