Lawn Fawn "Science of Love" Valentine Cards

Since Friday is Valentine's day, I thought I would share a few cards I created using Lawn Fawn's "Science of Love" stamps.

I had a lot of fun die cutting and stamping different images from this set. When I am not sure how I am going to use a stamp, I tend to stamp images, color them ahead of time and then arrange them on different projects as the inspiration hits me. In that way, I am not taking a lot of time to stamp and color when I am actually putting a card together. This also helps me to make more then one of the same card quicker if I really like the design.

For my first card, I chose to showcase the two birds from the set. I took images that I colored ahead of time and layered them over a piece of 4" by 5 1/4" piece of patterned paper that I had adhered to a 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" red card base.

I mounted them with foam adhesive over a branch from the "Winter Sparrow"set. I decided to use a black word bubble and embossed the sentiment in red. Didn't it come out so cute?

I love these little "nerdy" birds!! My mother used to have glasses like the blue bird.

For my second card, I just sat down and played, something that is unusual for me. I chose to stamp the flasks from the "Science of Love"set in pinks and reds on a white card stock base. I then created a banner out of pink and stamped the sentiment. I added the little test tube that I had created in my mass coloring on the banner.

I then just dumped a bunch of pink sequins on the card and then glued them down with glossy accents. I added dots of diamond Stickles to complete the look.

Isn't it fun? I would make more of these in the future. However, I am so done with making Valentine's!! I just need to send them out now.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my cards. Remember to stop by tomorrow for some more Valentine ideas.
